Leucistic Red-tailed Hawk

I first saw this bird on November 22, 2002, a foggy day, a white spot in the trees, mysterious and fascinating. I admit to a bit of an obsession, and I have gone back many times to look for it, most trips unsuccessful, but the occasional success bringing me back for more. Its solid red tail is a surprising contrast to the rest of the bird. And I continue to return to look for this bird.
